— Gary Fry, Emmy-winning composer and music producer

Ali is an 18 year old singer-songwriter and a guitarist based in Madison, WI. Her stirring vocals and arpeggio style of guitar playing convey the honesty of emotion found in her music; it draws on a varied set of influences, from Brandi Carlisle to the Lumineers, and the Arctic Monkeys (among others).  In her own songs, Ali draws on life experiences, whether fond memories of her childhood home in Texas, or the challenges of opening oneself up to trust in a relationship.  For Ali, life is a "work in progress", and songwriting is her way of capturing life's unique moments. In addition, she believes that life is about being open to new experiences and seeing the world through different lenses which is part of the reason why she moonlights as a ski instructor and ice hockey player in her spare time. She has performed at the City Winery in Chicago, Bennett Gordon Hall at Ravinia, Madame ZuZu's in Highland Park, the John and Nancy Hughes Theater in Lake Forest, IL and the Elbo Room in Chicago to name a few.
